Nick (Practice Round 1—July 27th, Baxter)

—louder (this is admittedly a loud and large room, but you have to project to fill that in the 1AC)—example of that we need to pick and choose and highlight the 1ac, what things might be better left out? What are not necessary?—good impact work in the 1ar, you need to be efficient, especially in your structure—remember the phrase “extend the 2AC XXXXXXXXXXXXX”--

Disad Drill 7/28 (Baxter)

Nick—smart first work with the k of the disad, make sure that it isn’t too long (probably want to highlight the card down to less than a minute at least) so you can have a full strategy beyond just that card—besides that your argument selection was good—make sure analytical argumetns are still spoken in tags—remember to say “extend the 2AC” as the beginning of this, but very nice use of the kritik evidence, get a bit more up in arms about it—consider talking more about what about your evidence actually worked this well, talk about it by name

Practice Round 3--7/30 (Baxter)

Nick—good time division and use of the 2ac, you want to get a little louder, bolder and declarative—its ok to say terror is real, its an answer to their arg, that arg doesn’t link to your aff—I think you should ditch out on condo and win your affirmative at this point, at the very least your condo arguments need to start being more specific to this debate, what did they do that fucked your strategy, what did you want to say instead specifically—the perm you are talking about is the doublebind argument in the 2ar, doesn’t do much for it—the link turns are a way better use of your time
